Join your fellow Weed Warriors in Pinehurst for an english ivy removal event Saturday, December 7, 9:30-Noon. Meet on Beech St. at its intersection with Western Ave. (See map below) Bring your bypass prunners. I’ll have gloves, safety vests and more pruners.

This will be the first in a series of Weed Warrior’s site visits work & tour. We’ll survey an area we worked to remove ivy from around trees 2 years ago and witness subsequent growth.

Before we start work, we’ll also walk through a young forest that 12 years prior was an overgrown jungle of invasives. With multiple volunteer events to remove invasives and multiple tree planting events, the area has been transformed.

Many of the trees along Beech St. from Western Ave. to Oregon Ave. are threatened by ivy and in need of Weed Warrior TLC!
